Made from crown cut sapele veneer with solid utile slatted doors and finished with a tinted hand rubbed oil.
Before getting in touch with Special Branch, our client had deliberated for ten years over what to do with this prime, blank, dining room wall.
During the first meeting, we took time to discuss the client’s ideas and needs. We focused on aesthetic, materials and how to maximise the unit’s purpose to best serve the family.
Equipped with a solid brief, we set about developing the design in more detail at the studio.
The unit features optimised spaces for:
– record player, amp and speakers
– vinyl collection
– a large but secret (not for long) drinks cabinet
– display shelves for art and artisan pieces
– hidden storage areas
– two drawers
– integrated electrics, cabling for speakers and lighting
The bookcase also features a comfortable perch, or banquette, for our client to relax and enjoy the room and views of their beautiful garden.
